Pats re-sign CB Bodden, add LB Murrell

03/12/2010 - Foxboro, MA (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The New England Patriots on Friday re-signed cornerback Leigh Bodden and inked linebacker Marques Murrell to an undisclosed contract.

Bodden started in 14 of the 15 games he played in for the Patriots last season and had a team-high tying five interceptions to go with 17 passes defensed.

The 28-year-old previously played in Cleveland (2003-2007) and Detroit (2008) and has compiled 341 tackles, 18 interceptions, 75 passes defensed and seven forced fumbles in 90 career games -- 67 starts.

Murrell appeared in 10 games last year for the Jets, who signed the undrafted Appalachian State product in November 2007. In 26 career games, the 24-year- old has made 21 tackles.
